Join a workshop " A Teacher’s Guide to Coherence in Writing"

Dear colleagues! 
Academic Department of Foreign Languages kindly invites English language teachers to join a workshop  A Teacher’s Guide to Coherence in Writing, which will be held at 6pm on Friday, December 19th. The workshop will take place at room 226, 20, Myasnitskaya street.

In this two-hour workshop, English Language Fellow John Kotnarowski will discuss the concepts of coherence and critical thinking and their importance in clear, effective written communication. After defining and exemplifying the concept of coherence in writing, workshop participants will be introduced to a few techniques designed to help their students write more coherently including essay outlining, the PIE-C technique for organizing (body) paragraphs, prompt analysis and an in-depth look at argumentative logic and as well as how to identify and avoid making common logical fallacies.
