International Activities

SOFL annually organises international research and practice conferences for undergraduate postgraduate students in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Chinese languages.

Since 2021, the annual International Research and Practice Conference ‘Languages, Education, Development’ (HSE LED Conference) has become a major platform for experts from around the world to discuss contemporary challenges and issues in linguistics. The conference brings together thousands of representatives of educational, research, and business organisations from Russia, Belarus, China, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, and Ireland.

The professional dialogue among lecturers, researchers, undergraduates and postgraduates from leading Russian educational institutions and international partner universities takes place via "Colloquium+" online platform, with the participation exceeding 700 experts annually.

In October 2025, SOFL launched a new initiative: an International Educational Online Club for Russian as a Foreign Language and Russian Culture «GLAGOL'».
