Academic Mentorship Programme
The Academic Mentorship Program is an internal initiative of the School of Foreign Languages, designed to support early-career academics in launching their publishing careers.
Through this programme, each participant is paired with an experienced mentor who provides guidance and advisory support throughout the process of developing a research publication.
-
Project Audience
This program is designed for School of Foreign Languages employees who are actively looking to increase their research output and have already identified a topic for their future publication.
-
Participation Requirements
A key requirement for participation is that applicants must have a defined topic for their future publication. Please note that the mentor's role does not include helping to select a research topic.
Mentor’s Role and Programme Outcomes:
- Strategies for beginning an article;
- Refining your publication topic;
- Selecting an appropriate target journal;
- Navigating the specific requirements of the chosen journal;
- Advisory support throughout the entire submission and publication process.
The format and frequency of mentor-participant interactions are determined collaboratively to suit individual needs.
The ultimate goal of this collaboration is to produce a manuscript that is approved for publication.
